Residual Magic

Residual Magic was painted late at night in Orlando after leaving Disneyland before the fireworks. Created in the liminal space of a parking lot, the work captures the energy that remains when spectacle ends and crowds dissolve. Electric gestures, chromatic collisions, and rapid directional movement trace the unseen pulse of the place—motion without audience, wonder without performance.

The vibrant orange field radiates heat and velocity, while layered strokes of turquoise, black, white, and acid green move across the surface like residues of memory and momentum. Rather than depicting fantasy, the painting preserves what lingers after it—an atmospheric charge suspended between departure and transformation.
