These works are born from the soft breath of nature, a fleeting beauty that invites us to listen more closely. With the gentle hues and organic forms of flowers, I seek to express an intimate connection with the earth. Each stroke of watercolor and ink—pulled from the plants themselves—becomes a way to reflect the pure essence of the natural world.

With loose, fluid brushstrokes, the colors bleed into silk, spreading emotion and movement, while softer strokes speak of serenity, calm, and quiet reflection. Each piece is a meditation on the moment, an offering of stillness in a world that is always rushing by.

The creative process, slow and deliberate, is full of uncertainty and surprise. It begins with the preparation of inks and watercolors, an act that feels like stepping into a different time—an alchemy of sorts. I gather plants, insects, wood from specific trees, and when the earth doesn't provide what I need, I turn to the Mercado de Sonora in Mexico. The market is its own living, breathing experience, rich with scent, color, and life, each detail woven into the work itself.

What truly matters is not only the final creation but the journey—the feelings and emotions stirred within me through the process. The work longs to be not just seen but felt. This series, the culmination of my six-month study at UNAM in Mexico City, from January to June 2024, is the echo of that journey, alive with light, color, and the spirit of discovery.
